Anne Marie focuses her practice at Perez Morris on Labor & Employment, Business Litigation and Workers’ Compensation. She zealously defends business clients in all aspects of claims from inception to resolution; most frequently including breach of contract, misrepresentation, property loss/damage, and all manner of employment claims. She has extensive experience working in all levels of the judicial system.
Anne Marie’s labor and employment expertise regularly requires her to defend employers in matters pertaining to Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and various state discrimination laws.
Though an aggressive litigator when warranted, Anne Marie works strategically with clients to decrease the risk of employment-related litigation by ensuring that they have the proper policies and procedures in place. She also regularly counsels clients through complicated disciple and leave-related issues, including new work-related challenges presented by COVID-19.
Additionally, Anne Marie routinely defends clients in workers’ compensation matters. She represents self-insured and state-funded clients throughout the course of administrative proceedings and appeals to court.
While attending law school at The Ohio State University, Anne Marie acted as a managing editor on the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. She also studied abroad for a summer at St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford. During her time as an undergraduate at Syracuse University, Anne Marie spent a semester at the University of Wollongong in Australia studying politics in international media.
Anne Marie lives in Clintonville with her husband, Mark, and two daughters, Quincy and Eliza.
