Careers at Perez Morris, image showing the Perez Morris team together

“We have a warmth at Perez Morris that you don’t always feel at other firms.”

Perez Morris is the largest certified women-owned law firm in the state of Ohio. With its headquarters in Columbus, the firm has recently expanded to nine offices located throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and New England. Managing Partner Sarah Perez champions a culture of community and inclusivity, recognizing that today’s lawyers have different needs and values than previous generations. The firm offers a flexible work schedule that is particularly appealing to working parents.

“If you build a culture of trust, employees will thrive when they are allowed to spread their wings and take ownership of their career.”

Perez Morris has a flat organizational structure, instead of the traditional law firm partner-associate model. While unique for law firms, the idea of a flat structure has been gaining favor in popular culture. Cutting-edge businesses and organizations are turning to flat, collaborative structures to achieve pay equity, as well as other diversity, equity and inclusion goals in the workplace. Perez Morris’s model offers working parents a path to success, whereas the traditional law firm partner track often does not.

“We embrace that people have families, and those families are important not just to our employees, but to the health of our communities.”

With this model, our attorneys enjoy open collaboration, designed to provide the best possible team to meet each client’s needs. Leadership roles at Perez Morris are available to all and in some cases, rotate, to provide employees with flexibility and professional development opportunities. This structure does not mean there is a lack of leadership and/or growth opportunities. Instead, we focus on individual professional goals and growth plans that offer the flexibility and professional development opportunities to achieve career and professional advancement.
