Rebecca J. Johnson joined Perez Morris in 2020. An experienced trial lawyer, she defends businesses in general liability and general litigation matters. Her practice is concentrated in complex commercial litigation and construction matters, property and casualty litigation, premises and product liability investigation and litigation, general liability claims investigation and litigation, malpractice defense, and workers’ compensation matters.

Rebecca is an expert in all aspects of the litigation process from inception to disposition, including pleadings and discovery preparation, depositions, motion practice, case valuation, pretrial management, and trial. She is skilled in pre-litigation investigations, alternative dispute resolutions and negotiations. Rebecca regularly presents on emerging construction and general litigation issues impacting her clients. She also has a thorough understanding of federal regulations and statutes concerning creditors’ rights.

Before becoming an attorney, Rebecca spent 10 years in business management; business practices; and corporate growth, development and formation strategies.

Rebecca lives on and runs a small private farm which houses a non-profit native tree nursery which grows and distributes native Ohio trees to local communities. She is passionate about land and environment preservation and conservation.
