Position Overview 

Perez Morris seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Liability Litigator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep trial and litigation experience, sound judgment, and a proven ability to navigate complex tort matters across multiple jurisdictions.

This position requires active licensure and substantial litigation experience in New York; licensure and experience in New Jersey is preferred but not required. The role is remote, with travel throughout New York and New Jersey as client needs require.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience handling complex general liability defense litigation.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, complex caseloads across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York including premises liability, commercial transportation, motor vehicle, product liability, catastrophic injury, and commercial disputes.
  • Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands, preparing motions, to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Trusted advisor to insurers and corporate clients, serving as primary contact for claims professionals, providing case assessments, litigation plans, and status reports.
  • Must be able to work independently on an assigned caseload.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
  • Efficient time-management skills.

Position Overview
Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Columbus, Ohio office. This position focuses on business and employment litigation matters and is well-suited for an attorney with 4 to 6 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to independently manage a diverse caseload, contribute to client relationships, and grow their practice in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage an assigned caseload of business and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of the legal practice.
  • Appear regularly in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions as an experienced trial attorney.
  • Lead all aspects of litigation strategy, including drafting pleadings, drafting and responding to written discovery, preparing motions, negotiating settlements, and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients and insurers, providing regular case updates, strategic assessments, and litigation plans throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Provide sound legal advice and strategic counsel to clients at all stages of the litigation process.

Qualifications

  • Associate with 4-6 years of experience handling civil litigation matters.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in good standing with the Ohio Bar.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.

While this position is based in our Philadelphia office, hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered based on individual circumstances, and the position will involve traveling as client needs require, through Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume, complex caseload involving general liability defense litigation across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including premises liability, commercial transportation, motor vehicle, product liability, catastrophic injury, and commercial disputes.
• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery and motions, preparing dispositive motions, negotiating settlements, and preparing witnesses for trial.
• Appear regularly in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions as lead or supporting counsel.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to insurers and corporate clients by acting as the primary point of contact for claims professionals and delivering case assessments, litigation strategies, and status reports.
• Work independently to manage assigned matters while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative legal strategies and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Participate in client development initiatives and support practice growth efforts.

Qualifications
