Perez Morris is seeking an experienced Full-Time Legal Administrative Assistant to assist our Workers’ Compensation team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting attorneys who specialize in workers’ compensation;
  • Scheduling calls, conferences, mediation, and other events;
  • E-filing court documents with county, state, and federal court systems;
  • Accessing, uploading, and filing documents within Industrial Commission Online Network (I.C.O.N.);
  • Scanning and saving documents to document management system;
  • Organizing and assembling files for new matters;
  • Requesting medical records;
  • Submitting invoice for payments;
  • Answering phones;
  • Managing attorneys’ calendars;
  • Other office administrative duties as assigned by attorneys or paralegals. 

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years legal assistant experience in Workers’ Compensation;
  • Experience with filing in the I.C.O.N.;
  • Proficient to Excellent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Friendly and professional manner and appearance; and
  • Adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to work as a productive member of a team.

This position is for our Columbus, Ohio office. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday), but additional hours could be required as necessary. Perez Morris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Liability Litigator to join our Philadelphia office with licensure and experience in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. The ideal candidate will bring deep trial and litigation experience, sound judgment, and a proven ability to navigate complex tort matters across multiple jurisdictions. While this position is based in our Philadelphia office, hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered based on individual circumstances, and the position will involve traveling as client needs require, through Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 8–12 years of experience handling complex general liability defense litigation.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, complex caseloads across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York including premises liability, commercial transportation, motor vehicle, product liability, catastrophic injury, and commercial disputes.
  • Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands, preparing motions, to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Trusted advisor to insurers and corporate clients, serving as primary contact for claims professionals, providing case assessments, litigation plans, and status reports.
  • Must be able to work independently on an assigned caseload.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
  • Efficient time-management skills.
  • Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems.
  • Willingness to be a productive member of a team.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our Litigation and Creditors’ Rights team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing insight and knowledge and support to our attorneys in defense litigation cases. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys in litigation, creditors’ rights, and corporate law matters.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting, and filing of pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Coordinate and organize hearings, depositions, and trial logistics, including scheduling, document preparation, and witness coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience with post-judgment remedies, including, but not limited to, judgment enforcement, asset recovery, garnishment procedures, and related collection litigation practices.
  • Prepare, proofread, and maintain business contracts, NDAs, and other legal correspondence.
  • Assist with corporate entity formations, including drafting and filing articles of incorporation, bylaws, and related documents.
  • Manage case files, corporate records, and contract databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Conduct basic legal research to support attorneys as needed.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain communication with clients, courts, and external counsel.
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in Paralegal Studies, Legal Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a role as a legal administrative assistant, preferably in corporate law or business law.
  • Proficient to Excellent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to work as a productive member of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
